10 finalists ready to celebrate with Schwarzenegger
The finalists for this year’s Sustainia Award are now public.
We are delighted to present a strong field of contestants representing outstanding solutions from clothing recycling; clean cookstoves to sustainable supermarkets and UV water filtering. The finalists are found after careful research among the 100 nominees. Each finalist represent one of the 10 nomination categories; Health, resources, energy, education, IT, fashion, food, cities, transportation and buildings.

These 10 nominees will be present in Copenhagen, October 11th , at our grand Sustainia Award Ceremony, where chair of Sustainia Award Committee Arnold Schwarzenegger will announce the winner of Sustainia Award 2012.
To select the winner, Mr. Schwarzenegger is joined by three distinguished thought leaders: former Prime Minister Gro Harlem Brundtland, IPCC Chair Dr. Rajendra K. Pachauri and EU Commissioner of Climate Action Connie Hedegaard. All four judges will be speaking at the award ceremony in Copenhagen.
Sustainia Award is founded by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in cooperation with communications platform Sustainia and Scandinavia’s leading independent think tank, Monday Morning, to raise awareness of the many tangible, sustainable solutions available across sectors and markets.
